Craggy Range - Sauvignon Blanc on the Beach

Craggy Range Sauvignon Blanc - 2020

I'm not going to lie. I have mixed emotions as summer is drawing to an end. Part of me is thrilled because of this little thing we call school, but part of me is a little bummed, especially looking back on pictures at the beach. On the day this particular picture was taken, a couple of us decided we would take the kids down to the beach to play while we indulged in this wonderfully crisp bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Well, I would be lying if I said we enjoyed this on the beach. Almost immediately after taking a few pictures and the kids getting out every single beach toy, a huge bolt of lightning flashed down, and the sky opened up. Needless to say, we had to haul you know what back to the house. Good news, this wine was just as good sitting on the covered patio watching the storm as it would have been on the beach.

From the winemaker: Pale lime to pale straw. An abundance of fresh passionfruit pulp and freshly grated lemon zest lift from the glass. The palate has a phenomenal acid drive. There is a concentration of ripe fruit here only seen in the best of years but enough minerality to give the wine complex and intrigue- one of our best releases to date.

Pair this with some Sashimi or Oysters or even a good game of Mexican Train Dominos but do not pair it with a plastic cup. Serve it chilled in a stemmed wine glass and use The WINE Brush to clean it. You'll thank us!
