Yesterday was my 21st Birthday! Ok, that's a lie, it was my Birthday, just not my 21st Birthday. You can draw your own conclusions on my age with the following clues. Last night I did NOT get to drink this delicious 75 Wine Co Cab with a big fat bone-in ribeye. No, I got to watch my 5-year-old son play a late-night (7 pm) baseball game. I considered bringing an outstanding bold red wine to keep me warm on the sidelines, but I am not quite at the age where I have thrown out all self-awareness. So, instead, after the game, we came home, had a glass of wine (out of my fancy glass), and watched Yellowstone. PARTY! Any clue on my age yet? The last hint, I'm just old enough to have attempted to clean and broken enough wine glasses in my life that I invented The Wine Brush to make my life (and yours) just a little easier.
From The Winemaker: Grown in Mendocino and Lake Counties, this Cabernet is filled with aromas of fresh cherry and cinnamon. On the palate, it's silky smooth with notes of strawberry and blackberry, culminating in a long, lingering finish with just a hint of dark chocolate from a year spent aging on French oak.
I did get to enjoy this delicious wine one night with the ribeye that is pictured, and at less than $20 a bottle, this wine offers excellent bang for your buck. It will stand up nicely to heavier red meats, so if you are swapping the Thanksgiving turkey this year for something more decadent, then consider serving this delicious wine with it!
