A guide to bold red wine and food pairings

Bold Red Wine and Food Tips

Finally! Bold red wines! It's not that all the other wines aren't delicious, and maybe it's the cooler weather or the fact that we're getting into the holiday season. But honestly, it's just because there is flat out nothing better than a full-bodied glass of Cab or Malbec and a delicious bloody steak. Has there ever been a more classic food and wine pairing? I would argue not. Really, any type of red meat and bold wines go great together. Prime Rib, Beef Stew, Hamburger, Pasta with Meat Sauce. Check, Check, Check, Check.

Hate red meat but love Cabernet Sauvignon? Well, before you click on another page, check this out. Red meat isn't the only thing that complements these bold reds. Looking to eat some poultry? Try grilling it will BBQ Sauce. Are you a pescatarian? Eat some fatty Tuna with these bold wines. What about a vegetarian? Chargrilled veggies are delightful with these types of wine. And finally, if you have a sweet tooth, don't make it too sweet, but why not try some dark chocolate with a nice glass of Malbec.

Happy eating...and drinking! Cheers!
