Palermo Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Being Poured into a Wine Glass

Palermo - 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This past weekend was a special one for the inventors of The Wine Brush and the owners of this little startup we call Simply Unwined. It was our wedding anniversary. So 12 years ago, we walked into a South Georgia courthouse, said our vows, and 20 days later said goodbye for a year-long deployment. Ever since, we have been through a total of 8 deployments, moved 6 times, countless training events (some of which are as long as deployments), 2 kids, 1 new business, and a partridge in a pear tree.

To celebrate, we opened this smooth, rich Palermo Cab Sav and enjoyed every last drop. And, shocker, saved this excellent bottle to go along with our Halloween decorations!

Winemaker Tasting Notes: "A brooding red core with a rich cardinal hued rim, the wine opens with classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon aromatics ripe cassis, sunburst raspberry, graphite, and chaparral surrounded by a balanced frame of new oak. The bold aromatics translate onto the palate seamlessly with more cassis, red licorice, fresh fennel, and mixed berry compote. Integrated yet prominent puckering tannins finish off the wine with a touch of lingering black tea."

So, cheers to our anniversary...and don't toast with that stemless cheap wine glass of yours. Break out your elegant stemware, and we will help clean them!
